Dear Wyoba Family & Friends,
It is hard to believe that the 2013 Wyoba camp season has come to an end. I made it through my second summer at Wyoba and the weeks just flew by. Reflecting back on this summer, a lot of projects were accomplished, staff training was implemented, new cabin leaders and campers entered the gates of camp, a few young people came to know Christ, and many grew in their relationships with God. A lot of exciting things happened!
If it was not for the help of staff, some amazing volunteers, and campers we would not have gotten these projects done. A special thanks to FBC Gillette and Bethel Baptist Casper for donating funds for 26 new mattresses, FBC Cheyenne men who came for a weekend to work on projects, FBC Rawlins for their work on the Nurse’s Cabin and the chapel, and FBC Torrington for donating needed items!

-New water system
-Misc. pipes repaired

Wyoba has received the Curtis Park Grant for facility upgrades. It is not too late to donate financially in order for Wyoba to receive matching grants. Our campers over the course of 3.5 weeks gave an offering close to $800 which will be matched. What a praise!
Below is a list of the attendance numbers for our programming this summer:
Primary Camp: 26 campers/13 leaders
Junior Camp: 23 campers/12 leaders
Junior High Camp: 32 campers/13 leaders
Senior High Camp: 27 campers/15 leaders
Young Adult Weekend: 13
Women’s Retreat: 20 women
God continues to prove faithful to this ministry and provides for our needs. We hosted some great groups and built relationships with them, which has lead to continuity and future bookings. I am excited to see where God is going to lead us next camping season. There is talk of Family Camp, a Wilderness/Survival Camp for teens, and a concert at Wyoba next summer.
Please continue to keep Camp Wyoba, the Board, and I in your prayers as we continue to move forward, implement positive change, and plan for the future.
In His Service,
Amber J. Shearer
